Next, the Westerners encounter the Abernathy Antelopes (Abernathy, TX) in a non-league test, on Thursday, November 21. Lubbock will attempt to improve on its 3-4 season record. The Antelopes come into the test with a 3-2 record after their 78-48 non-league loss to Canyon (Canyon, TX).

The Longhorns (2-6) will now prepare for their test against Fort Elliott (Briscoe, TX). The Cougars come into the non-league test with a 2-0 record. In their last test, Fort Elliott bounced Caprock (Amarillo, TX), 27-11, in a non-league test.
