The New Hope Trojans (Columbus, MS) basketball crushed the visiting Lafayette Commodores (Oxford, MS), 76-44 in Tuesday's league bout.
The Trojans now possess a 9-4 record. They play next when they host West Lowndes for a non-league bout on Thursday, January 9.
With the loss, Lafayette falls to 9-7 on the campaign. The Commodores host Pontotoc (Pontotoc, MS) to play the Warriors in a 5A Region 1 bout on Thursday, January 9. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 12-3. Pontotoc won 81-25 in their recent league bout against Corinth (Corinth, MS)
