Texas High School Basketball - Meridian nips Meyer

In Tuesday's league test, the host Meridian Yellowjackets basketball squad scored a tight 32-26 win over the Meyer Ravens.

Next, the Yellowjackets encounter the Rio Vista Eagles (Rio Vista, TX) in a 2A Region II District 12 test, on Friday, January 10. Meridian will attempt to improve on its 6-12 season record. The Eagles come into the test with a 8-16 record after their 41-35 league loss to Valley Mills (Valley Mills, TX).

The Ravens (4-12) will now prepare for their test against Bosqueville (Waco, TX). The Bulldogs come into the 2A Region II District 12 test with a 4-10 record.
