The Mission Eagles (Mission, TX) basketball edged the visiting Nixon Mustangs (Laredo, TX), 25-24 in Tuesday's league bout.

The Eagles now possess a 8-14 record. They play next when they travel to Mission Veterans Memorial for a 5A Region IV District 30 bout on Tuesday, January 14. Mission will play a Patriots team coming off a 45-36 league win over Martin (Laredo, TX). The Patriots record now stands at 11-10.
