The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the St. Edward Green Wave (Elgin, IL) and the host Westmont Sentinels (Westmont, IL), observed St. Edward's basketball team overwhelm Westmont by a score of 60-34.
The Green Wave (13-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Aurora Christian (Aurora, IL). The Eagles come into the Chicagoland Christian challenge with a 4-6 record. In their last challenge, Aurora Christian was routed by Rosary (Aurora, IL), 36-33, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Sentinels encounter the Holy Trinity Tigers (Chicago, IL) in a Chicago Prep challenge, on Thursday, January 9. Westmont will attempt to improve on its 6-7 season record.
