Malibu Sharks (Malibu, CA) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Foothill Tech Dragons (Ventura, CA), 47-40 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Malibu upgrades its record to 8-3 on the campaign. The Sharks travel to Fillmore (Fillmore, CA) to play the Flashes in a Citrus Coast bout on Tuesday, January 11. The Flashes come into the bout with a record of 6-7. Fillmore won 57-35 in their recent league bout against Carpinteria (Carpinteria, CA)

Next up, the Dragons play the Bishop Diego Cardinals (Santa Barbara, CA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 11. Foothill Tech will attempt to upgrade on its 5-10 season record. The Cardinals come into the bout with a 11-7 record after their 56-33 league win over St. Bonaventure (Ventura, CA).
