The Powers Lake/Burke Central (Powers Lake, ND) basketball felled the visiting White Shield Warriors (Roseglen, ND), 70-59 in Monday's non-league test.
The (6-4) will now prepare for their test against Surrey (Surrey, ND). The Mustangs go into the non-league test with a 7-2 record. In their last test, Surrey thwarted Glenburn (Glenburn, ND), 51-31, in a league test.
The Warriors now own a 7-3 record. They play next when they travel to Central McLean [Turtle Lake-Mercer/Underwood/McClusky] for a B District 6 test on Tuesday, January 9. White Shield will encounter a Cougars squad coming off a 83-27 non-league win over Glenburn (Glenburn, ND). The Cougars record now stands at 2-2.
