The Woodson Cavaliers basketball team (Fairfax, VA), was nudged 49-42 in Monday's league battle with the visiting West Springfield Spartans (Springfield, VA)

The Spartans now possess a 5-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Robinson for a District 4 battle on Friday, January 12. West Springfield will confront a Rams team coming off a 41-37 league win over South County (Lorton, VA). The Rams record now stands at 12-1.

The Cavaliers (5-6) will now prepare for their battle against Fairfax (Fairfax, VA). The Lions come into the District 4 battle with a 4-8 record. In their last battle, Fairfax was nudged by West Potomac (Alexandria, VA), 64-44, in a league battle.
