The Woodson Cavaliers (Fairfax, VA) basketball knocked off the host West Springfield Spartans (Springfield, VA), 41-32 in Thursday's league test.
The Cavaliers (8-9) will now prepare for their test against Fairfax (Fairfax, VA). The Lions go into the District 4 test with a 5-13 record. In their last test, Fairfax went down by West Potomac (Alexandria, VA), 66-38, in a league test.
The Spartans now own a 8-10 record. They play next when they host Robinson for a District 4 test on Tuesday, February 6. West Springfield will encounter a Rams squad coming off a 45-42 league win over South County (Lorton, VA). The Rams record now stands at 19-2.
