West Potomac Wolverines (Alexandria, VA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Fairfax Lions (Fairfax, VA), 59-42 in a non-league bout.

With the win, West Potomac upgrades its record to 7-0 on the season. The Wolverines host Lake Braddock (Burke, VA) to play the Bruins in a bout on Friday, January 12. The Bruins go into the bout with a record of 2-2. Lake Braddock won 49-43 in their recent non-league bout against Alexandria City (Alexandria, VA)

Next up, the Lions play the Woodson Cavaliers (Fairfax, VA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 11. Fairfax will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record. The Cavaliers go into the bout with a 6-1 record after their 67-51 non-league win over West Springfield (Springfield, VA).
