The Stratford Spartans basketball team scored 47 points and limited the visiting Cypress Ridge Rams to 42 in the Spartans league triumph on Wednesday.

The Spartans now possess a 9-13 record. They play next when they travel to Memorial for a 6A Region III District 17 game on Saturday, January 11. Stratford will play a Mustangs team coming off a 60-48 league loss to Jersey Village (Houston, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 8-12.

With the loss, Cypress Ridge falls to 7-14 on the campaign. The Rams host Cypress Falls (Houston, TX) to play the Eagles in a 6A Region III District 17 game on Saturday, January 11. The Eagles go into the game with a record of 17-7. Cypress Falls won 40-39 in their recent league game against Cy-Fair (Cypress, TX)
