Texas High School Basketball - Katy thwarts Morton Ranch

The crowd at Wednesday's league challenge between the Katy Tigers (Katy, TX) and the host Morton Ranch Mavericks (Katy, TX), observed Katy's basketball team knock off Morton Ranch by a score of 71-61.

The Tigers (21-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Cinco Ranch (Katy, TX). The Cougars come into the 6A Region III District 19 challenge with a 21-4 record. In their last challenge, Cinco Ranch was knocked off by Seven Lakes (Katy, TX), 68-66, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Mavericks encounter the Katy Taylor Mustangs (Katy, TX) in a 6A Region III District 19 challenge, on Saturday, January 11. Morton Ranch will attempt to improve on its 7-12 season record. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a 5-14 record after their 67-53 league loss to Mayde Creek (Houston, TX).
