California High School Basketball - Pierce thwarts Anderson

January 8, 2025: Anderson, CA 96007

The crowd at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Pierce Bears (Arbuckle, CA) and the host Anderson Cubs (Anderson, CA), observed Pierce's basketball team knock off Anderson by a score of 49-39.

The Bears (10-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Willows (Willows, CA). The Honkers come into the Sacramento Valley challenge with a 5-9 record. In their last challenge, Willows prevailed over Paradise (Paradise, CA), 68-29, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Cubs battle the Live Oak Lions (Live Oak, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 9. Anderson will attempt to improve on its 8-9 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 2-9 record after their 42-23 non-league loss to Los Molinos (Los Molinos, CA).
