The West Albany Bulldogs (Albany, OR) basketball knocked off the visiting Central Panthers (Independence, OR), 47-39 in Monday's league test.
The Bulldogs (5-5) will now prepare for their test against Silverton (Silverton, OR). The Foxes go into the 5A Mid-Willamette test with a 7-3 record. In their last test, Silverton went down by Jesuit (Portland, OR), 56-38, in a non-league test.
The Panthers now own a 4-6 record. They play next when they host Corvallis for a 5A Mid-Willamette test on Thursday, January 12. Central will encounter a Spartans squad coming off a 67-45 league win over Lebanon (Lebanon, OR). The Spartans record now stands at 8-2.
