Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Clinton Dragons (Clinton, TN) and the host Powell Panthers (Powell, TN), saw Clinton's basketball squad wallop Powell by a count of 60-37.

With the victory, Clinton upgrades its record to 9-8 on the campaign. The Dragons travel to Anderson County (Clinton, TN) to play the Mavericks in a 3A District 4 challenge on Friday, January 13. The Mavericks come into the challenge with a record of 3-9. Anderson County lost 58-20 in their recent non-league challenge against Seymour (Seymour, TN)

Next up, the Panthers play the Karns Beavers (Knoxville, TN) in a 4A District 3 challenge, on Tuesday, January 10. Powell will attempt to upgrade on its 2-9 season record. The Beavers come into the challenge with a 8-6 record after their 71-33 non-league loss to Farragut (Knoxville, TN).
