The Madawaska Owls (Madawaska, ME) basketball crushed the host Van Buren Crusaders (Van Buren, ME), 39-17 in Monday's non-league test.
The Owls (2-5) will now prepare for their test against Central Aroostook (Mars Hill, ME). The Panthers go into the C North test with a 5-3 record. In their last test, Central Aroostook was trounced by Fort Kent (Fort Kent, ME), 44-30, in a league test.
The Crusaders now own a 0-8 record. They play next when they host Fort Fairfield for a non-league test on Wednesday, January 11. Van Buren will encounter a Tigers squad coming off a 55-33 league loss to Fort Kent (Fort Kent, ME). The Tigers record now stands at 3-5.
