South Plainfield Tigers (South Plainfield, NJ) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting South River Rams (South River, NJ), 33-29 in a non-league bout.

With the win, South Plainfield upgrades its record to 5-4 on the season. The Tigers travel to Scotch Plains-Fanwood (Scotch Plains, NJ) to play the Raiders in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 4. The Raiders go into the bout with a record of 5-4.

Next up, the Rams play the Carteret Ramblers (Carteret, NJ) in a Greater Middlesex - Blue bout, on Wednesday, January 11. South River will attempt to upgrade on its 5-5 season record. The Ramblers go into the bout with a 1-4 record after their 57-31 non-league loss to Keansburg (Keansburg, NJ).
