Tennessee High School Basketball - Anderson County crushes Gibbs

Anderson County Mavericks (Clinton, TN) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Gibbs Eagles (Corryton, TN), 95-70 in a league bout.

With the win, Anderson County upgrades its record to 11-7 on the season. The Mavericks host Cumberland Gap (Cumberland Gap, TN) to clash with the Panthers in a 3A District 4 bout on Friday, January 12. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 6-8. Cumberland Gap lost 74-46 in their recent non-league bout against Cherokee (Rogersville, TN)

Next up, the Eagles clash with the Clinton Dragons (Clinton, TN) in a 3A District 4 bout, on Friday, January 12. Gibbs will attempt to move on its 8-10 season record. The Dragons enter the game with a 4-9 record after their 58-56 league loss to Scott (Huntsville, TN).
