The Apple Valley Eagles basketball team (Apple Valley, MN), was nudged 66-62 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the host Shakopee Sabers (Shakopee, MN)
The Sabers now possess a 8-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Chanhassen for a AAAA Section 2 battle on Thursday, January 11. Shakopee will confront a Storm team coming off a 74-69 non-league win over Lakeville South (Lakeville, MN). The Storm record now stands at 4-5.
The Eagles (5-5) will now prepare for their battle against Prior Lake (Prior Lake, MN). The Lakers come into the non-league battle with a 5-6 record. In their last battle, Prior Lake edged Burnsville (Burnsville, MN), 78-67, in a non-league battle.
