The McEwen Warriors basketball team scored 83 points and held the host Big Sandy Red Devils to 35 in the Warriors league triumph on Tuesday.

The Warriors now sport a 12-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Houston County for a 1A District 12 contest on Friday, January 12. McEwen will battle a Fighting Irish team coming off a 50-33 non-league win over East Hickman County (Lyles, TN). The Fighting Irish record now stands at 9-3.

The Red Devils (2-8) will now prepare for their contest against Waverly Central (Waverly, TN). The Tigers enter the non-league contest with a 0-10 record. In their last contest, Waverly Central was routed by Hickman County (Centerville, TN), 81-50, in a non-league contest.
