The Franklin Lions basketball team scored 66 points and restricted the host Buffalo Bison to 43 in the Lions league victory on Tuesday.

The Lions now sport a 5-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Groesbeck for a 3A Region III District 20 contest on Friday, January 12. Franklin will meet a Goats team coming off a 86-19 league loss to Westwood (Palestine, TX). The Goats record now stands at 1-16.

With the defeat, Buffalo moves to 6-15 on the year. The Bison travel to Mexia (Mexia, TX) to meet the Black Cats in a 3A Region III District 20 match on Friday, January 12. The Black Cats enter the match with a record of 15-10. Mexia won 95-40 in their recent league match against Teague (Teague, TX)
