Franklin Lions (Franklin, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Buffalo Bison (Buffalo, TX), 67-41 in a league bout.

With the win, Franklin upgrades its record to 10-8 on the season. The Lions host Westwood (Palestine, TX) to play the Panthers in a 3A Region III District 20 bout on Friday, February 9. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 22-6. Westwood won 72-59 in their recent league bout against Fairfield (Fairfield, TX)

Next up, the Bison play the Mexia Black Cats (Mexia, TX) in a 3A Region III District 20 bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Buffalo will attempt to upgrade on its 8-20 season record. The Black Cats go into the bout with a 21-11 record after their 95-42 league win over Teague (Teague, TX).
