Hoover Buccaneers (Hoover, AL) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Vestavia Hills Rebels (Vestavia Hills, AL), 63-45 in a league bout.

With the win, Hoover upgrades its record to 19-2 on the season. The Buccaneers host Tuscaloosa County (Northport, AL) to clash with the Wildcats in a 7A Area 5 bout on Thursday, January 11. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 13-10. Tuscaloosa County lost 70-46 in their recent league bout against Thompson (Alabaster, AL)

Next up, the Rebels clash with the Thompson Warriors (Alabaster, AL) in a 7A Area 5 bout, on Friday, January 12. Vestavia Hills will attempt to upgrade on its 16-4 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 15-6 record after their 70-46 league win over Tuscaloosa County (Northport, AL).
