Junction City Dragons (Junction City, AR) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Parkers Chapel Trojans (El Dorado, AR), 76-47 in a league bout.

With the victory, Junction City upgrades its record to 9-5 on the campaign. The Dragons host Fordyce (Fordyce, AR) to play the Redbugs in a 2A Region 8 bout on Friday, January 12. The Redbugs come into the bout with a record of 7-7. Fordyce won 56-37 in their recent non-league bout against Arkansas (Texarkana, AR)

Next up, the Trojans play the Woodlawn Bears (Rison, AR) in a 2A Region 8 bout, on Friday, January 12. Parkers Chapel will attempt to upgrade on its 5-10 season record. The Bears come into the bout with a 11-6 record after their 56-31 league win over Gurdon (Gurdon, AR).
