The Lubbock-Cooper Pirates basketball team scored 78 points and held the visiting Abilene Eagles to 33 in the Pirates league triumph on Tuesday.
The Pirates now sport a 17-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wylie for a 5A Region I District 4 match on Friday, January 12. Lubbock-Cooper will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 61-43 league win over Coronado (Lubbock, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 16-9.
With the defeat, Abilene moves to 15-11 on the year. The Eagles host Wylie (Abilene, TX) to meet the Bulldogs in a 5A Region I District 4 match on Tuesday, January 16. The Bulldogs enter the match with a record of 16-9.
