The Lubbock-Cooper Pirates basketball team scored 71 points and held the host Abilene Eagles to 37 in the Pirates league triumph on Friday.

The Pirates now sport a 22-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Wylie for a 5A Region I District 4 contest on Tuesday, February 6. Lubbock-Cooper will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 57-37 league win over Coronado (Lubbock, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 19-12.
