Balmorhea Bears (Balmorhea, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Big Bend Roadrunners (Terlingua, TX), 42-15 in a league bout.

With the win, Balmorhea upgrades its record to 11-8 on the season. The Bears travel to Dell City (Dell City, TX) to play the Cougars in a 1A Region II District 9 bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 0-2.

Next up, the Roadrunners play the Marfa Shorthorns (Marfa, TX) in a 1A Region II District 9 bout, on Friday, January 12. Big Bend will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Shorthorns go into the bout with a 1-4 record after their 42-22 league loss to Van Horn (Van Horn, TX).
