The Balmorhea Bears (Balmorhea, TX) basketball crushed the visiting Big Bend Roadrunners (Terlingua, TX), 72-8 in Friday's league test.
The Bears (16-9) will now prepare for their test against Sierra Blanca (Sierra Blanca, TX). The Vaqueros go into the 1A Region II District 9 test with a 5-8 record. In their last test, Sierra Blanca was trounced by Van Horn (Van Horn, TX), 35-25, in a league test.
The Roadrunners now own a 0-5 record. They play next when they host Marfa for a 1A Region II District 9 test on Tuesday, February 6. Big Bend will encounter a Shorthorns squad coming off a 30-27 league loss to Van Horn (Van Horn, TX). The Shorthorns record now stands at 1-6.
