New Lothrop Hornets (New Lothrop, MI) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Byron Eagles (Byron, MI), 68-18 in a league bout.

With the victory, New Lothrop upgrades its record to 6-2 on the campaign. The Hornets travel to Powers Catholic (Flint, MI) to play the Chargers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 9. The Chargers come into the bout with a record of 5-1. Powers Catholic won 61-54 in their recent league bout against Arthur Hill (Saginaw, MI)

Next up, the Eagles play the Livingston Christian Falcons (Pinckney, MI) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 15. Byron will attempt to upgrade on its 1-7 season record. The Falcons come into the bout with a 3-4 record after their 47-43 non-league win over Our Lady of the Lakes (Waterford, MI).
