The University Prep Jaguars (Victorville, CA) basketball nipped the host Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy (Victorville, CA), 28-23 in Tuesday's league test.

The Jaguars (5-7) will now prepare for their test against Big Bear (Big Bear City, CA). The Bears go into the Cross Valley test with a 2-13 record. In their last test, Big Bear was tipped by Academy for Academic Excellence (Apple Valley, CA), 61-23, in a league test.

The now own a 1-1 record. They play next when they host Riverside Prep for a Cross Valley test on Friday, January 12. Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy will encounter a Silver Knights squad coming off a 51-31 league loss to Hesperia Christian (Hesperia, CA). The Silver Knights record now stands at 6-10.
