Texas High School Basketball - Sterling knocked off by Goose Creek Memorial

The Goose Creek Memorial Patriots basketball team scored 49 points and held the host Sterling Rangers to 37 in the Patriots league triumph on Tuesday.
The Patriots now sport a 9-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lee for a 5A Region III District 17 contest on Friday, January 12. Goose Creek Memorial will battle a Ganders team coming off a 69-13 league loss to Crosby (Crosby, TX). The Ganders record now stands at 4-19.
The Rangers (6-12) will now prepare for their contest against Port Neches-Groves (Port Neches, TX). The Indians enter the 5A Region III District 17 contest with a 10-17 record. In their last contest, Port Neches-Groves was defeated by Barbers Hill (Mt. Belvieu, TX), 47-27, in a league contest.
