Poteet Pirates (Mesquite, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Seagoville Dragons (Dallas, TX), 64-25 in a league bout.

With the win, Poteet upgrades its record to 14-11 on the season. The Pirates host Samuell (Dallas, TX) to play the Spartans in a 5A Region II District 12 bout on Friday, January 12. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 1-16. Samuell lost 32-22 in their recent league bout against Spruce (Dallas, TX)

Next up, the Dragons play the Conrad Chargers (Dallas, TX) in a 5A Region II District 12 bout, on Friday, January 12. Seagoville will attempt to upgrade on its 11-10 season record. The Chargers go into the bout with a 8-6 record after their 55-35 league loss to West Mesquite (Mesquite, TX).
