Poteet Pirates (Mesquite, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Seagoville Dragons (Dallas, TX), 59-21 in a league bout.

With the win, Poteet upgrades its record to 21-11 on the season. The Pirates travel to Samuell (Dallas, TX) to play the Spartans in a 5A Region II District 12 bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 1-21.

Next up, the Dragons play the Conrad Chargers (Dallas, TX) in a 5A Region II District 12 bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Seagoville will attempt to upgrade on its 16-12 season record.
