Utah High School Basketball - Providence Hall knocked off by Summit Academy

January 9, 2024: Bluffdale, UT 84096

The Summit Academy Bears basketball team scored 54 points and held the visiting Providence Hall Patriots to 37 in the Bears league triumph on Tuesday.

The Bears now sport a 10-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Judge Memorial Catholic for a 3A Region 14 contest on Thursday, January 11. Summit Academy will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 66-65 non-league loss to Draper APA (Draper, UT). The Bulldogs record now stands at 8-7.

The Patriots (8-6) will now prepare for their contest against Layton Christian Academy (Layton, UT). The Eagles enter the 3A Region 14 contest with a 7-8 record. In their last contest, Layton Christian Academy ran past Juan Diego Catholic (Draper, UT), 61-23, in a league contest.
