In Tuesday's league outing, the St. John XXIII Lions (Katy, TX) basketball squad edged the host The Woodlands Christian Academy Warriors (The Woodlands, TX), by a margin of 25-19.

The Lions (6-6) will now prepare for their outing against Lutheran South Academy (Houston, TX). The Pioneers go into the TAPPS 5A District 5 outing with a 10-10 record. In their last outing, Lutheran South Academy held off Kelly Catholic (Beaumont, TX), 48-38, in a league outing.

The Warriors now own a 4-13 record. They play next when they host Emery/Weiner for a non-league outing on Thursday, January 11.
