Calaveras Red Hawks (San Andreas, CA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Argonaut Mustangs (Jackson, CA), 67-61 in a league bout.

With the win, Calaveras upgrades its record to 10-9 on the season. The Red Hawks travel to Amador (Sutter Creek, CA) to play the Buffaloes in a bout on Friday, January 12. The Buffaloes go into the bout with a record of 4-8. Amador won 44-42 in their recent league bout against Summerville (Tuolumne, CA)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Sonora Wildcats (Sonora, CA) in a bout, on Thursday, January 11. Argonaut will attempt to upgrade on its 8-9 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 14-2 record after their 75-54 league win over Bret Harte (Angels Camp, CA).
