The Newark Memorial Cougars basketball team scored 62 points and restricted the visiting Kennedy Titans to 23 in the Cougars league victory on Tuesday.

The Cougars now sport a 7-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to James Logan for a contest on Thursday, January 11. Newark Memorial will battle a Colts team coming off a 62-45 non-league loss to Monte Vista (Danville, CA). The Colts record now stands at 2-3.

The Titans (0-4) will now prepare for their contest against Moreau Catholic (Hayward, CA). The Mariners come into the contest with a 15-0 record. In their last contest, Moreau Catholic triumphed over Washington (Fremont, CA), 70-55, in a league contest.
