Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Veterans Memorial Patriots (San Antonio, TX) and the host Wagner Thunderbirds (San Antonio, TX), saw Veterans Memorial's basketball squad hold off Wagner by a tally of 56-53.

With the victory, Veterans Memorial improves its record to 9-2 on the campaign. The Patriots host Tivy (Kerrville, TX) to play the Antlers in a challenge on Friday, January 12. The Antlers come into the challenge with a record of 1-0.

Next up, the Thunderbirds play the Canyon Cougars (New Braunfels, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 12. Wagner will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record.
