In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Barnes County North co-op [North Central/Wimbledon-Courtenay] Bison basketball team scored a close 38-31 triumph over the LaMoure/Litchville-Marion Loboes.

The Bison (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Oakes (Oakes, ND). The Tornadoes go into the B District 1 contest with a 4-3 record. In their last contest, Oakes was tipped by Lisbon (Lisbon, ND), 55-52, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Loboes battle the Strasburg/Zeeland Clippers (Strasburg, ND) in a B District 2 contest, on Friday, January 17. LaMoure/Litchville-Marion will attempt to better on its 4-2 season record. The Clippers go into the contest with a 5-3 record after their 61-39 league loss to Kidder County co-op [Steele/Tappen] (Steele, ND).
