The Elkin Buckin' Elks bounced the host Starmount Rams basketball squad by a final score of 76-34 in Thursday's league outing.

Next, the Buckin' Elks face the Surry Central Golden Eagles (Dobson, NC) in a non-league outing, on Monday, January 13. Elkin will attempt to upgrade on its 6-6 season record. The Golden Eagles enter the outing with a 10-2 record after their 76-33 league win over Forbush (East Bend, NC).

The Rams (1-12) will now prepare for their outing against South Stokes (Walnut Cove, NC). The Sauras enter the 1A Northwest outing with a 10-2 record. In their last outing, South Stokes routed East Wilkes (Ronda, NC), 65-51, in a league outing.
