Gaston Day Spartans (Gastonia, NC) boosters left the game satisfied Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the host SouthLake Christian Academy Eagles (Huntersville, NC), 70-64 in a league match.

With the victory, Gaston Day upgrades its record to 14-5 on the year. The Spartans travel to Gaston Christian (Gastonia, NC) to face the Eagles in a NCISAA Metrolina match on Monday, January 13. The Eagles enter the match with a record of 16-5. Gaston Christian won 58-44 in their recent league match against Westminster Catawba Christian (Rock Hill, SC)
