The Wayne County War Eagles basketball team scored 56 points and limited the host Gautier Gators to 18 in the War Eagles league triumph on Thursday.

The War Eagles now possess a 9-9 record. They play next when they travel to East Central for a 5A Region 4 game on Tuesday, January 14. Wayne County will play a Hornets team coming off a 68-56 league loss to Gautier (Gautier, MS). The Hornets record now stands at 3-12.

With the loss, Gautier falls to 11-10 on the campaign. The Gators travel to Stone (Wiggins, MS) to play the Tomcats in a 5A Region 4 game on Tuesday, January 14. The Tomcats go into the game with a record of 7-8.
