The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Providence Country Day Knights (East Providence, RI) and the host St. Patrick Academy Padres (Providence, RI), observed Providence Country Day's basketball team knock off St. Patrick Academy by a score of 41-31.

The Knights (2-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Toll Gate (Warwick, RI). The Titans come into the Division III challenge with a 7-2 record. In their last challenge, Toll Gate prevailed over Davies Career & Tech (Lincoln, RI), 49-45, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Padres encounter the Achievement First Providence Falcons (Providence, RI) in a Division III challenge, on Monday, January 13. St. Patrick Academy will attempt to improve on its 0-7 season record. The Falcons come into the challenge with a 2-7 record after their 56-46 league loss to Exeter-West Greenwich (West Greenwich, RI).
