The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Providence Country Day Knights (East Providence, RI) and the visiting St. Patrick Academy Padres (Providence, RI), observed Providence Country Day's basketball team knock off St. Patrick Academy by a score of 54-45.

The Knights (1-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Prout (Wakefield, RI). The Crusaders come into the Division 3 challenge with a 2-4 record. In their last challenge, Prout dropped by Burrillville (Harrisville, RI), 74-42, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Padres encounter the Exeter-West Greenwich Scarlet Knights (West Greenwich, RI) in a Division 3 challenge, on Friday, January 3. St. Patrick Academy will attempt to improve on its 0-5 season record. The Scarlet Knights come into the challenge with a 2-1 record after their 63-27 league win over Blackstone Valley Prep (Cumberland, RI).
