The Palma Chieftains basketball team scored 54 points and limited the visiting Carmel Padres to 38 in the Chieftains league triumph on Thursday.

The Chieftains now have a 9-1 record. They play next when they travel to Everett Alvarez for a game on Monday, January 13. Palma will confront a Eagles team coming off a 59-41 league loss to Oakwood (Morgan Hill, CA). The Eagles record now stands at 2-4.

With the loss, Carmel falls to 0-5 on the campaign. The Padres host Salinas (Salinas, CA) to confront the Cowboys in a game on Tuesday, January 21. The Cowboys go into the game with a record of 11-2.
