With the victory, Watauga advances its record to 6-2 on the year. The Pioneers host Asheville Christian Academy (Swannanoa, NC) to battle the Lions in a non-league contest on Saturday, January 11. The Lions come into the contest with a record of 1-3. Asheville Christian Academy lost 43-30 in their recent league contest against Christ School (Arden, NC)

In their next game, the Spartans battle the Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC) in a contest, on Friday, January 17. South Caldwell will attempt to better on its 6-5 season record.
