New Mexico High School Soccer - Highland knocks off Grants

In Tuesday's league outing, the host Highland Hornets soccer squad scored a tight 4-0 win over the Grants Pirates.
The Hornets (7-6) will now prepare for their outing against Valencia (Los Lunas, NM). The Jaguars enter the 4A District 5 outing with a 2-9 record. In their last outing, Valencia by St. Pius X (Albuquerque, NM), 10-0, in a league outing.
Next up, the Pirates confront the Belen Eagles (Belen, NM) in a 4A District 5 outing, on Thursday, October 3. Grants will attempt to improve on its 2-9 season record. The Eagles enter the outing with a 9-4 record after their 5-4 non-league loss to Bernalillo (Bernalillo, NM).
