The Highland Hornets smashed the host Grants Pirates soccer team by a tally of 5-0 in Thursday's league game.
Next, the Hornets face the Valencia Jaguars (Los Lunas, NM) in a 4A District 5 game, on Tuesday, October 22. Highland will attempt to advance on its 10-8 season record. The Jaguars enter the game with a 2-14 record after their 10-0 league loss to St. Pius X (Albuquerque, NM).
The Pirates (3-12) will now prepare for their game against Belen (Belen, NM). The Eagles enter the 4A District 5 game with a 12-5 record. In their last game, Belen held off Highland (Albuquerque, NM), 5-0, in a league game.
