The Anderson-Shiro Fighting Owls volleyball team scored 3 points and restricted the visiting New Waverly Bulldogs to 0 in the Fighting Owls league triumph on Tuesday.

The Fighting Owls now have a 22-9 record. They play next when they host Crockett for a 3A Region III District 23 outing on Friday, October 4. Anderson-Shiro will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Coldspring-Oakhurst (Coldspring, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 0-18.

With the loss, New Waverly drops to 3-16 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Trinity (Trinity, TX) to play the Tigers in a 3A Region III District 23 outing on Friday, October 4. The Tigers come into the outing with a record of 0-10. Trinity lost 3-0 in their recent league outing against Onalaska (Onalaska, TX)
