New Mexico High School Soccer - La Cueva nudges Capital

In Wednesday's league outing, the host La Cueva Bears soccer squad scored a tight 2-1 win over the Capital Jaguars.
The Bears (11-1) will now prepare for their outing against Santa Fe (Santa Fe, NM). The Demons enter the 5A District 2 outing with a 6-7 record. In their last outing, Santa Fe tipped Hope Christian (Albuquerque, NM), 4-2, in a non-league outing.
Next up, the Jaguars confront the Manzano Monarchs (Albuquerque, NM) in a 5A District 2 test, on Saturday, October 4. Capital will attempt to move on its 9-4 season record. The Monarchs come into the test with a 6-6 record after their 8-1 league loss to Sandia (Albuquerque, NM).
